Better Swords Trims

This mod adds a new smithing template that you can find as loot in classic structures or craft through a new recipe. With this template, you can combine different minerals to give special abilities to your swords and armor.

The idea is to offer new ways to fight and defend yourself, using materials that are already familiar to the game but with fresh effects that make combat more interesting.

Do you need a server to play with your friends?

All the pickaxes (from iron to netherite) can be mixed on the smithing table using the new template and the following list of materials:

• Quartz: gives extra experience when you defeat an enemy.

• Emerald: the mob you hit will levitate for 4 seconds.

• Lapis Lazuli: Hitting a mob makes all mobs of the same type glow for 45 seconds.

• Weeping Obsidian: deals area damage around the target in a 3×3 zone.

• Redstone: slows down the mob you hit.

• Copper: increases the durability of the sword.

Of course, we have added a configuration file that you can find in the “config” folder, where you can adjust some of the spike enhancements, based on your game preferences.

Where can I get the new blacksmithing template “Spike”?

You can get it in two different ways, if you are one of those who prefer to explore, you can find it inside the chests of all the classic Minecraft structures (villages, pyramids, etc.). On the other hand, if you prefer to craft, you can craft it using four copper ingots, two emeralds and one diamond.

Can this mod be used in modpacks?

Of course! As long as it is published only on Modrinth or CurseForge. Uploading it to any other platform would be violating our rights and is not allowed at all.
