Disclaimer
This mod was originally made for a custom modpack for me and a friend, however as ive slowly started to upload my smaller mods for people to enjoy (and seeing people actually liked them) i finally decided to upload my first and biggest mod of all.
as a bit of a disclaimer, do consider that this Was my first mod ever and it was never designed to be published so there might be certain features that are out right disabled or a little bit janky.
This mod contains a lot of features and recipes many of which i wont be able to include in here due to the amount of them, highly recommended to use a mod like JEI for crafting recipes
Features
Quality of life is a mod that seeks to improve on several aspects of minecraft as well as add other conviniences and quality of life (hence the name!) items to make the game better, this mod was originally made nearly a year ago and has been built up with features ever since so its so jam packed with features that i unless i make a whole wiki i wont have the ability to expplain (or even remember) all of them. but i will try to introduce you to the major features.
Combat Changes
Making minecrafts combat just a little bit more intresting, adding several combat manuvers including Parrying, Dodging and etc to give combat flow better, be careful though the mobs have access to just as many features as you do! Starting with the most important mechanic: The stagger effect
Every attack in the game will produce the "stagger" effect as long as it comes from aliving entity. The stagger effect will ground and slow targets down making it harder to move arround, when attacking during this effect you will be incapable of dealing damage Most combat manuvers cannot be executed while staggered, all the combat manuvers have cooldowns

Parrying: Parrying an attack will deal 5 damage and stagger the person who was parried, making an easy opening to attack.

Dodging: A all-sided dash used to avoid attacks, can also be used for mobility

Perfect parry: a stronger version of the parry, this parry will stagger for longer as well as cleanse some status effects, reset the cooldown of your retreat manuver, heal you and apply several other effects, the window for this parry is farshorter and it has a long delay before activation, make sure to time your parries right! when mobs execute this manuver you will hear a noise before its activated, dont get parried yourself!

Retreat: The only combat manuver capable of being used when staggered, this is a lifeline of sorts and will perform a backwards dash as well as cleanse you of any stagger effects you posses

Combat heal: a long cooldown 2 hearts heal, this wont be healing you up reliably but its immensly useful when playing defensively and keeping you alive just a bit longer, use it wisely. Its cooldown gets reduced each time you take damage, Mobs will heal for half the damage they were dealt inestead of 2

One shot protection: If a player dies, they will inestead be set at half a heart and this combat manuver will go on a small cooldown, with the difficulty spike features like these were necesary to make the combat fair for the player as they are now much more disadvantaged when fighting multiple mobs
Activating these combat manuvers can be done in several ways depending on your prefered control scheme:

Each one of them posseses a "combat orb" that will activate it on right click

The universal orb will open a GUI with all the combat manuvers
use whichever one makes you the most confortable
All these combat manuvers can be disabled in the config!
AI Changes
As an addon to the combat changes, many mobs are now capable of dashing, dodging, parrying and other kinds of attacks to spice your combat experience, makng encounters much more variable an intresting than minecrafts old combat.
These behaviors can be disabled in the config alongside the combat changes
Boss fight changes
Alongside mobs getting fresh a coat of paint, many of minecraft vanilla bosses have recieved a new coat of pain to make them slightly more intresting to battle, by default bosses are excluded (Check config) from the combat manuvers mentioned above, this is configureable in the config files under "exceptions" if you want to exclude more entities, other bosses or make the bosses even harder.
The wither, elder guardian, ender dragon and warden have all been improved with new attacks, additional behaviors and etcetera.
Additionally, aggro has been modified, entities will now immediatly turn to attack whichever entity attacked last rather than focus on one endlessly
Villager Reputation System
An entire new villager reputation system has been built up to encourage players to build their relationship with particular villagers inestead of torturing them with repeated zombification, the reputation system is per villager and ranges from any negative value to a maximum of 2000
the tiers are as follow
Less than 0: Hated, villagers will not trade with you at all, golems may attack you.
less than 0-300: Villagers dont trust you, several actions such as opening doors, opening chests, placing blocks, destroying blocks etc in villages will reduce your reputation
300-600: Villagers trust you a bit, they will offer discounts and will forgive many of the actions
600-900: Villagers will offer more discounts
900-1200: More discounts
1200-2000: Even more discounts
2000+: More discounts and the ability to request favors to villagers, right clicking them with this tier will allow depending on their profession for them to assist you in a specific way.
Reputation can be improved by killing mobs near villagers or gifting them items (Wheat, carrots, potatos, beetroot, melons, pumpkins, iron, gold, diamonds), reputation beyond 1200 can not be adquired via gifts and only via killing mobs.
Golems will add your reputation level together from all nearby villagers and decide wether to attakc you or not, as well villagers can gossip about you, taking both their reputation numbers and averaging them out, make sure to keep everyone equally happy OR never let them talk to eachother.
you can check your reputation by sneak right clicking a villager with an epmty hand, and you can gift them stuff by right clicking it on them.
Repair Changes
Repairing with anvils is a thing of the past, no longer will you deal with "too expensive!" messages, this mod adds crafteable repair kits and a repairing block utilizing the power of COPPER, use repair kits for a quick repair or put them in the repair block for an free but slow repair, putting alightning rod above this blocks will draw lightning periodically to speed up the repair process, make sure the block can see the sky though!
You can also repair your anvils by putting it in the crafting recipe with 3 iron above it.
Archeology
Small and work in progress expansion to archeology, small patches of suspicious sand and gravel will spawn randomly across the overworld with unique loot tables to encourage exploration, these will spawn across deserts and gravel patches with a slightly different texture, right clicking them with an empty hand will turn them into suspicious sand with a custom loottable that will allow you to gather different items that you'd otherwise find either somewhere else or in another form.

Miscelaneous Utility Items
Some examples of the additional utility items ive added are:
The staff - Capable of controlling entities to make moving mobs far less painful, it has different IDs so you can separate entities.
The leash block - interacting with the staff, right clicked to select the ID, will draw mobs to it periodically.
the whistle - will make mobs that match your current selected ID follow you
Home medalion - Only works in the overworld, transports you through dimensions to where you right clicked it to.
Entity medalion - Works on different dimensions, make sure to update the position when chaging dimensions, used on other entities
Warp medalion - A home medalion but without its dimension transposing ability, can be used outside of the overworld.
Modified crafting recipes
Modified crafting recipes to be more convinient or easier to get, making previously useless, lategame or otherwise impossible to get items now far easier to adquire.
New Tool Tier
a new upgradeable tier via smithing table has been added known was "Reinforced Gold", this new tier bridges the gap in between gold and iron, having the harvest level and power of iron with the speed and enchanteable of gold, the smithing template can be crafted or adquired via other teams,
Alternate Death
Think keep inventory is too easy, but regular item loss too hard? alternate death is here to bridge the gap in difficulty and allow for a punishment for dying that doesnt necesarily make the player lose too much progress, when dying with this enabled and keep inventory on, the player upon respawning will have their items given several curses that will negatively impact the player, in order to cleanse these curses a "Cursing table" must be created.. The cursing table is not too different from a crafting table except it uses Onyx inestead of lapiz lazuli. It can be used to pruposely apply curses to your items some of which have advantages and disadvantages or cleanse the curses it has. This is all configurable and can be disabled.
